Drawing and Shading
Students will be taught pencil shading techniques such as cross-hatching, blending and the broad-stroke method which will create gradation to make drawings believable and more realistic than those that are not shaded. This activity will last for 4 classes.
Craft using glass bottles.
Students will sketch their ideas out on how they want to decorate their bottle into an art piece. They will be provided with various ornaments to transform a simple glass bottle into a decorative item. This activity will also last for 4 classes.
Drawing still life objects
Students will be taught how to draw the shapes and proportions of the still life objects using line. They will also be taught how to render the three dimensional form of the still life using tone. This will all be done using 2B and 4B pencil. This activity will also take 4 classes.
Students will create a hand sculpture using plaster of Paris. They will sketch their ideas on their sketch pad. A theme will be given for them to focus on. They will be guided step by step with the techniques of sculpturing. Then they will paint it using acrylic paint. This activity will take 5 to 6 weeks.
